Visitors flock to spacecraft themed stand and party atmosphere at Superfrico
This year’s LDI Show moved to December for the first time, and into the new West Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
GLP certainly had plenty to shout about, with the JDC2 IP—which was making its spectacular debut—evidently being cited as among the most sought-after fixtures at the show.
The JDC2 IP represents a sensational upgrade of the industry standard JDC1 hybrid strobe. Larger, significantly brighter and IP65-certified, the extra visibility and increased output offer the LD advanced creativity.
The new integrated beam line is equipped with 84 highly efficient 10W LEDs, with extremely steep flash ramps delivering an even more realistic and intense strobe impression. With 12 individually controllable segments, the beam line offers extended intensity flash effects and more than 100 static and dynamic strobe patterns.
Additionally, the saturated colors and exceptional brightness of the 1,728 LEDs provide powerful diffuse lighting. The two color plates can be addressed separately, in 12 or 24 individual segments, while the new JDC2 IP offers the ability to create breathtaking digital content with an individually controllable pixel matrix. Thanks to a built-in powerful Dual Cortex CPU with 3D graphic processing—the so called GLP DigiFX—a range of over 100 designed GLP DigiFX can be generated.
The head of the JDC2 IP is motorized, offering around 180° tilt while the robust IP65-rated housing—designed for both permanent indoor as well as temporary outdoor applications—was a further feature appreciated by visitors.
Also favorably received was the impression X5 IP Maxx. This is an even more powerful sibling to the impression X5 Wash for applications over greater distances, and thanks to its IP65 rating also suitable for outdoors. The GLP impression X5 IP Maxx emits an extraordinary luminous flux of up to 24,000 lumens with an expanded color space, from 37 powerful 40W RGBL LEDs. Like all devices in the X5 Series, it is equipped with the new iQ.Gamut color algorithm, which means it always offers a clean white point with a CRI 90+ / TLCI 90 at 6,500 Kelvin.
Also featured were the new FUSION X-PARs (X-PAR 8Z and X-PAR 18Z)—with motorized zoom—which complete the family of weatherproof LED PARs. The FUSION X-PAR 8Z is a compact and lightweight all-rounder … suitable for a range of applications. The X-PAR 18Z contains a 180W RGBL LED, making it the most powerful in the series.
These products were perfectly showcased on a new concept stand, the aim of which was to transport visitors into a space station, complete with spaceship. This was achieved thanks to a clean white design with clever detailing.
Away from the exhibition floor, GLP hosted a highly successful party at the Superfrico Restaurant in the Cosmopolitan Hotel, attended by around 1,200 guests.
Summing up the show’s success, GLP Sales & Marketing Director, Tyler Wise, said: “We enjoyed a surprisingly good show with a fantastic world premiere of the JDC2 IP. Everybody who saw it was excited to get it onto shows because of the impressive features it offers and its capabilities in video content. Lots of orders were placed here at the show, and it received a great reception overall.”
